After 4 years, a rare opportunity has opened to join our team as the pastry chef of Sqirl.  This opportunity requires you to be a creative force in the pastry world as we gear up to open dinner service.  This role requires the continued development and quality control of AM classics while owning the creativity and aesthetics of desserts on our dinner menu.  

Pastry Chef Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume bakery or pastry kitchen, with a solid understanding of baking principles and techniques.
• Experience in lamination.
• Experience in cake decoration
• Experience in development of desserts.
• Experience in bread is an edge above the rest.
• 2 years experience as a pastry chef
• Passion for the art of baking and pastry and the constant curiosity to ever evolve your knowledge and skillset.
• Ability to oversee, lead, coach and mentor a high functioning pastry team with kind and professional communication.  Leadership skills with the ability to inspire your team is a must.
• Excel in organizational and time-management abilities
• High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels
• Ability to communicate to owner and management with work through any need.
• Flexible schedule: early mornings, weekends, nights and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time and lift/carry up to 50lb 
• CA Food Handler Certified- Manager
