We are a leading Silicon Valley electrical contractor with an immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Estimator. The ideal candidate has a background in electrical construction with a strong understanding of the entire bid process.

JOB DESCRIPTION/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Read and interpret plans, scope of work, and bid documents
• Prepare onscreen takeoff offs
• Independently produce high quality, accurate estimates
• Provide breakouts, clarifications, and additional pricing as needed
• Manage design stage of design/build projects
• Manage the quotation/bidding process, maintain bid logs, job calendar, and project job folder
• Transition projects awarded to the General Manager and/or Project Managers
• Build relationships with our existing customer base
• Expand customer base and projects through networking and by proactively seeking out new bidding opportunities
• Develop and train junior estimators
• Other duties assigned as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years in estimating with experience from start to finish
• Solid understanding of pricing/bidding
• Knowledge of Accubid and Live Count software
• Microsoft Excel & Word proficiency a must
• Self-starter, able to multi-task
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Willing to learn and take on responsibility quickly
• Attention to detail and extremely organized
• Strong time management skills
• Previous electrical construction - a plus
• Construction Management Degree - a plus
• Valid CDL with a clean driving record (verified and approved by our insurance company)
