Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Laboratory Director to lead and oversee healthcare laboratory operations. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and manage a talented team while implementing innovative practices for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Include:

• Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient and compliant laboratory operations.
• Manages the procurement, installation, and validation of laboratory equipment, ensuring all assets are maintained in optimal working condition for peak performance.
• Oversee all staffing activities, including recruitment, orientation, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and the development of ongoing training and education programs to foster professional growth.
• Monitors and ensures the highest standards of laboratory quality, including test accuracy, turnaround times, and full compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree strongly desired.
• NYS licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist is a must.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare laboratory management or supervision.
• Previous experience as a Laboratory Director is highly desirable.
• Experience with regulatory oversight preferred.
