Salary: $55,000 base salary + commission

Job Description:
A growing logistics company is seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight Sales Representative to expand its customer base and drive new business opportunities. This role will focus on identifying potential clients, building relationships, and providing tailored logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and Build Relationships: Identify and target potential clients in need of logistics and freight services.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets.
- Client Needs Assessment: Collaborate with clients to understand logistics needs and provide customized solutions.
- Rate Negotiation and Load Booking: Negotiate competitive rates, secure loads, and coordinate logistics.
- Tracking and Tracing: Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery, proactively addressing issues.
- Sales Presentations and Proposals: Prepare and present proposals, negotiate pricing, and close sales.
- Customer Retention: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams (operations and customer service) to ensure smooth execution of services.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Track sales activity, manage leads, and provide updates on performance to management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, ideally within the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries.
- Strong understanding of logistics services, freight, and transportation solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
