Job Description

Responsibilities:


  • Advises on all HR matters such as policy interpretation, performance management, recruiting, employee relations, communications, team effectiveness, and compensation & benefits administration.
  • Provides reliable and timely coaching and counselling to employees and leaders on issues to ensure consistent, transparent application of policies, procedures, and employments laws.
  • Identifies, communicates, and supports managers in the resolution of employee relations issues, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company policies and employment laws.
  • Conducts internal employee investigations, applying basic principles of proper and effective workplace investigations and practices.
  • Collaborates in the development of HR related materials and procedures as necessary to ensure compliance with company and business unit best practices and all state and federal regulations.
  • Applies continuous improvement principles to HR processes to be managed in a more efficient and consistent manner.
  • Maintains and supports benefits administration, including health and welfare, wellness programs, leave of absences (including worker’s compensation related absences). This includes coordinating efforts with outside vendors and brokers.
  • Support worker’s compensation administration by working with internal EHS administrators and outside carriers and brokers.
  • Administers bi-weekly payroll by following internal processes and procedures. This includes payroll reconciliation, vendor management, and knowledge of application of appropriate wage and hour regulations.
  • Conducts training on company policy, programs, and other issues as they arise when needed.
  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment and continuous outreach efforts.
  • Apprise and escalates potential legal, risk, safety, and employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • Focuses on culture and employee engagement by continuously tracking data and uses analytics to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Engages with respective departmental leaders and stakeholders to create retention strategies as needed.
  • Partners with respective line managers on employee performance and development matters such as Performance Evaluations, employee check-ins, and performance improvement and development plans.
  • Counsels employees on career paths and development.
  • Leads assigned HR related projects as needed.


Qualifications:


  • Degree qualification in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist capacity
  • Proven operational experience in Human Resources
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to communicate throughout all levels of the organization
  • Excellent presentation, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working internationally over several geographies and cultures
  • Experience in HRIS, ATS, payroll, timekeeping systems
  • Solid knowledge in Human Resources and best practices
  • Experience in CA labor and wage & hour law
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) - Essential
