Summary of Position:

The Electrical Engineer supports engineering and operations by programming machinery and internal systems.

Functions of the Position:

• Supports electrical engineering project delivery through coordinated specifications and designs for electricians in collaboration with other engineers and technical disciplines to deliver on project standards.
• Supports electrical engineering joint efforts with general operational support through coordinated specifications and designs for electricians, working closely with other engineers and technical disciplines to deliver solutions to business needs.
• Ensures key systems for base support functions stay compliant, including (but not limited to): supplier management, parts requisitions, contractor time tracking, and overall asset management.
• Supports remote facilities as needed (anticipated 30% travel)
• Provides on-call, second-level support to 2nd (and occasionally 3rd) shift electricians as needed.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Over five years of machinery programming experience.
• Hands-on wiring installations and familiarity with NEC code compliance.
• Safe troubleshooting of electrical circuits.
• Electrical safety implementation and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge in the food/nut industry is highly preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

• Rockwell Logix Family programming ability.
• Ability to interpret schematics.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Basic network design skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
