About Us


Our client supplies the concrete industry with batching and mixing equipment . They build plants and machinery with minimum downtime, service costs, and parts costs, which are just some of the many core values this company takes pride in. All core equipment is designed and produced inhouse at their factory in Denmark. This position is located at our North American office, in Ridgefield, WA, just outside of Portland, OR.


Job Summary


We are hiring for a sales engineer to assist the growth and expansion throughout North America and Australia.


The sales engineer will be the main point of contact for existing and new customers. He/she will be instrumental in assisting customers figure out what they need and how we can help them achieve their goals. The ideal candidate will have a high mechanical aptitude and be confident with their abilities to answer questions and provide information. This individual will be comfortable finding solutions through conversations, sketches, and calculations, which is done through meetings with the customer and discussions with colleagues.


Job Functions


· Establish new accounts, obtain orders, and service existing accounts by organizing a daily work schedule to call on potential and existing sales leads

· Keep the company’s CRM system updated with activity and reports, both new and ongoing accounts.

· Responsible for achieving company sales revenue goals and creating new ones each year.

· Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information

· Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of the company and its equipment


Requirements


· Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; technical background required

· Sales or industry related experience

· Willingness to travel extensively (average 1 week per month)

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn company CRM

· Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills; must be fluent in English

· Ability to prioritize effectively and have excellent organizational skills while multi-tasking

· Must be able to get a US Passport


What We Offer


Training in the design, manufacturing, assembly, service, and installation of our equipment and parts. Included in the training; is time spent in Denmark at our headquarters, learning about the company’s values, seeing our production, and going on sales and installation trips to obtain the knowledge needed for the position.
