Server - HIROKI
Located in the dynamic historical neighborhood of Fishtown, Philadelphia, HIROKI is an immersive soulful Japanese dining concept combining the region’s culture, customs and cuisine. A contemporary insertion into the framework of Fishtown’s industrial history, HIROKI is the next extension of the nationally acclaimed Wm. Mulherin's Sons Restaurant & Hotel, introducing an entirely unique hospitality experience to the neighborhood and Philadelphia alike.
We are looking for hospitality minded servers who love great service and food. Experience with sake service a plus!
Server Job Responsibilities:
- Greet tables with enthusiasm and a genuine smile
- Adhere to established service standards and protocols
- Ring in orders in a timely fashion
- Offer suggestions for beverage and food, by genuinely investing in and enhancing the guest’s experience
- Check in after courses are dropped within an appropriate timeframe to ensure their satisfaction
- If a guest has a qualm, bring it to the attention of a manager immediately and evaluate how to proceed from there
- Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail
- Passion for food, beverage and hospitality
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Team oriented mentality
- Dependability
Required Experience:
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine preferred
- Knowledge of both classic and current food and beverage trends
- Minimum 2-3 years of service experience in an upscale setting
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
Working Conditions/Environment
- The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
- Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
- The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
