JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determine and establish overall manufacturing engineering requirements for items such as but not limited to machinery, equipment, tooling, manufacturing methods and processes, and routings.
• Support shop floor personnel in trouble-shooting process and/or quality problems.
• Prepare routings, process sheets, work instructions, and process drawings as required and establish feeds, speeds, cycle times and other operating parameters for all type of equipment.
• Recommend, justify, and implement the installation of new equipment and Processes.
• Analyze, review, and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
• Assist in the design of products to develop "Design for Manufacturing" parts and processes.
• Identify and implement cost reductions through plant manufacturing operations.
• Maintain production equipment.
• Perform facilities maintenance
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in related field of study (Mechanical/Mgf/Industrial Technology)
• 3-5+ Years industry related experience with manufacturing technologies, processes, methods, machining, assembly and company operations, product lines and practices or equivalent.
• Ability to collaborate with coworkers, shop personnel, and outside vendors
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing techniques
• Must possess strong analytical ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• General experience working with SAP ERP Business System.
• Experience with production equipment programming
• Knowledge of AutoCad
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows
• Knowledge of Pro E
