Job Description:

• The candidate will report to a Senior Research Manager and be accountable for the execution of laboratory research under close direction of scientist(s) and/or technical leader.
• Ability to work safely in a laboratory setting is a must and may include the ability to safely work with laboratory instrumentation, chemicals, and/or biological hazards.
• The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, the ability to faithfully execute written protocols, follow verbal direction, as well as keeping accurate and complete documentation good records of materials and methods utilized as well as results obtained.
• The successful incumbent will be expected to work well with others in a team environment.
• The specific skill sets required for the conduct of laboratory research will be dependent on the type of lab where such work is being conducted and the objectives of the work.
• Perform product testing as described in the test methods
• Comply with GLP, GDP, and GMP after training
• Participate as a team member in testing
• Work closely with lab engineers, other technicians, and lab coordinator with some supervision
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of High School Diploma, with some college level work desirable.
• Experience using laboratory tools/instrumentation including (calipers, micrometers, vision systems, tensile testers, etc).
• Previous experience with data entry in a laboratory information management system (LIMS) a plus.
• Average verbal and written communications skills, asks questions when uncertain.
• Ability to work independently once trained
