We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control processes, resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and processes to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address product non-conformances and process deficiencies.
- Lead or support internal and external audits, including supplier quality audits.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to identify and address quality-related issues during product design, development, and production phases.
- Conduct inspections and tests on materials, components, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including quality plans, reports, and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Train and mentor team members on quality control methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in the aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in quality tools and techniques, including Six Sigma, statistical process control (SPC), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with quality management software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent.
- Experience in supplier quality management and audit processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, or assembly.
