Position Overview:
The International Background Check Manager is responsible for full scope of background process an ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal standards. This is an on-site position based in Miami, Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership: Manage the Background Check team, set goals, and promote accountability, excellence, and professional development.
• Background Screening: Supervise criminal, employment, education, and credit verifications, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and legal compliance.
• Process Optimization: Develop and implement streamlined procedures to enhance efficiency and standardization.
• Compliance: Monitor regulations, address potential risks, and maintain thorough documentation for audits.
• Vendor Management: Oversee third-party vendors, evaluate performance, and negotiate cost-effective contracts.
• Collaboration: Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to address hiring needs and guide stakeholders on policies.
• Reporting: Analyze trends and prepare performance reports for leadership.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Human Resources, or related field. Master’s is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in human resources, with at least 4 years in a background check or compliance role.
• Experience developing and leading teams.
• Thorough knowledge of background check processes, legal requirements, and best practices.
• Proficient with both international and domestic background checks is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with background checks in a fast-paced and high-volume environment in an organization hiring thousands of employees per fiscal year.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient with background check systems and HRIS.
