Midwest Health is looking for an entry level, detail-oriented, Human Resources Assistant, whose main responsibility will be assisting with the maintenance of our HR/Payroll system. This position will be responsible for reviewing data and ensuring new hire information is flowing over accurately from our on-boarding platform. Other responsibilities will include processing background checks on new hires within our Kansas locations, assisting the payroll department after payroll is processed with payment advice filing, and other duties as assigned.
To be successful in the position, you should have an excellent attendance record and the ability to adapt to change and growth within our company. You should also have strong interpersonal skills, be able to maintain reliable records, and collaborate with other departments.
Job Responsibilities:

• Review new hire data and make corrections if necessary
• Process background checks for all Kansas new hires (upon hire) as well as processing those that require biannual checks
• Creation of bi-weekly pay advice and placement of the advice records in our shared file system
• Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations
• Assist Human Resources Department with various HR functions as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent work related experience
• 1 -2 years of experience working in an office environment
• Good mathematical aptitude
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Be a team player
• Ability to maintain employee and workplace privacy
