Haugland Group, a family owned and operated Long Island, New York based electrical and heavy civil construction company, has an immediate opportunity in Construction for an experienced Construction Attorney to join our team.

Key Functions
- Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts (with customers, subcontractors, and vendors)
- Review and negotiate commercial leases
- Communicate with employees, subcontractors, vendors, and landlords
Desired Qualifications
- Must have 7+ years of Construction Law experience (either transactional or litigation relating to contract negotiation or preparation/litigation of delay claims)
- Significant prior experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
- Highly skilled legal writing capabilities
- Degree from an ABA – Accredited law school and strong academic credentials
- Licensed to practice law in the State of New York
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, and able to work independently
- Must be able to work in-person from our office located in Melville, NY on a full-time basis
