Opening February 2025, we’re seeking experienced hosts to join our team for an exciting multi-concept project. The team from Golden Diner is bringing two distinct yet complementary dining experiences under one roof: Golden HOF and NY Kimchi.
About Golden HOF Golden HOF is a lively, fun, and dynamic space inspired by traditional Korean-style HOF bars. With casual pub vibes and a modern twist, our menu features classic anju, jjigae, and shareable dishes, perfectly paired with a creative beverage program highlighting Korean liquors, craft beers, and original cocktails. It’s a high-energy, fast-paced environment where guests come to enjoy great company, drinks, and delicious food.
About NY Kimchi NY Kimchi offers a more refined yet equally adventurous dining experience. A modern raw bar and steakhouse with deep Korean influences, our menu showcases high-quality American steak cuts and fresh crudo, infused with Korean flavors. Host Ethos: As a
Host , you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. The role of a host goes beyond just greeting guests; it's about setting the tone for the entire dining experience.A warm, welcoming, and calm presence at the door helps guests feel immediately comfortable.Balancing hospitality with logistical awareness is key. Hosts must be attuned to the pacing of the dining room, keeping things running smoothly while ensuring that each guest feels cared for.Being honest with guests about wait times or availability shows respect for their time and helps manage expectations.A balance between warmth, efficiency, and practical awareness is what truly makes a host most effective.
Key Responsibilities - Ambassador of the Space: Greet guests warmly and represent the unique identities of Golden HOF and NY Kimchi with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Guest Engagement: Create a welcoming and memorable first impression, providing exceptional hospitality and addressing guest inquiries.
- Manage Reservations: Effectively manage the books, handle reservations, and organize seating to optimize the flow of service.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hosts in both concepts to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Ownership of Common Spaces: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of shared areas, ensuring they reflect the high standards of the the team..
What We’re Looking For - Prior experience as a host or in a customer-facing role in a fast-paced dining environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a focus on hospitality.
- Ability to stay composed under pressure and adapt to the needs of a busy, dynamic environment.
- Interest in Korean cuisine, culture, and dining concepts is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Weekend + Holiday availability a must!
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Climbing steps regularly.
