A well-established hospital is seeking dedicated, experienced, and reliable Nursing Supervisors for their expanding Brooklyn facility. This role is crucial in ensuring that hospital services are consistently high-quality, safe, and aligned within hospital guidelines. You will be closely working with the CNO of the hospital and providing leadership to staff in all departments
As a Nursing Supervisor, you will represent hospital administration and provide leadership across all departments, with a special focus on communication with hospital leadership, supervision of all staff, and hands on rounds of all units (intensive care unit, med-surg, dialysis etc.)
Mon-Fri, evening shift (4:00p - 12:00am)
Mon-Fri, day shift 8AM-4PM are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the representative of hospital administration during your shift, ensuring effective communication and coordination across departments.
- Ensure the safety, quality, and standards of hospital services during your shift.
- Provide leadership and intervention in resolving patient, physician, and staff issues.
- Supervise housekeeping workers and manage supplies and equipment to maintain cleanliness and a quiet environment.
- Oversee the proper functioning of security staff and coordinate with other departments, including Nursing Units, Emergency Department, Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, and Food Services.
- Respond to emergent patient situations, documenting and following up as necessary.
- Communicate with the CNO and other administrative staff regarding any issues that arise during your shift.
- Familiarize yourself with the hospital’s physical plant and critical infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in NY
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical hospital nursing experience
