Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS TNCC Job Details ER RN position at St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center Trauma Level: Level II Department: Emergency Room (RN) Common diagnoses include peds to geriatrics, traumas, Stroke, STEMI, SOB, abdominal pain, etc. Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 based on acuity, maybe 5 (if boarding and grouped together) Experience or 'Must have' skills: Prefer previous travel experience but open to first time travelers. Job Requirements Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must have previous travel experience preferred. Schedule Information 12hr shifts w/ varied start times: 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, 2p-2a, 7p-7a Weekend Requirements: Every other Holiday Requirements: Every other Floating Requirements: rare ability to float due to census and staffing How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1-2 shifts in the ER Unit Specific Information Common drips: vasopressors, heparin, antiarrhythmics (critical care drips for ICU holds, would be a 1:1) ED Physician &/or Mid-Levels staffed? Generally how many are on at a time? All MDs no mid levels, here 24/7, 1 MD overnight until 6 am and 3 MDs during busiest times Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge Nurse- outside of staffing, manages throughput of department and helping hand Additional Details Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
