Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Benefits Specialist:

- Serve as a primary contact for employee benefits-related inquiries

- Utilize strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications

- Operate within an HR database system

- Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships across all levels of the organization

- Demonstrate strong customer service, problem-solving, project management, and teamwork skills

- Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks/projects

- Influence and negotiate effectively

- Operate basic office equipment

- This is a 13-week contract position

Required Skills for Benefits Specialist:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills

- Ability to take initiative, be innovative, and work effectively in a variety of settings

- Bachelor's degree required

- 1-2 years of related experience in employee benefits

- Preferred: PHR or SPHR; benefits certification, and a healthcare background
