Responsibilities:


  • Assist in sourcing suppliers for materials, components, and products required in the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate existing ones.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders for materials and equipment based on production needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available without overstocking.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues with orders.
  • Assist with negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost-effective purchases.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier communications, and inventory.
  • Track purchase order statuses and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Assist in managing the procurement budget by tracking costs and looking for opportunities to reduce expenses.
  • Support the inventory control team by tracking material usage and adjusting purchase schedules as needed.
  • Collaborate with the production team to understand material needs based on production schedules.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance and suggest improvements in supply chain processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Preferred for a candidate to have at least 3 years experience in purchasing, logistics, or customer service type role.
  • ERP experience preferred.
  • This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills, good interpersonal, and the ability to multitask.
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written) in correspondence with vendors, customers, managers, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of organizational skills and office practices.
  • Computer proficiency in all Microsoft Office Software especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.
