Located in any Essex-County office, our team is excited to be adding a Commercial Lines Account Manager. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Lines, supports and develops the overall performance of their team, while maximizing efficiency and fostering an effortless client experience.


As a Commercial Account Manager , you’ll be the go-to advisor for our clients, providing exceptional commercial account management and acting as the primary link between clients and insurance companies. In this role, you’ll expertly guide clients through the details of their insurance needs while ensuring everything aligns with our brokerage’s standards.

What You’ll Do


  • Client & Company Support: Answer inquiries from clients and insurance companies, delivering prompt and professional support.
  • Policy Management: Handle endorsements, renewals, and policy updates with an eye for accuracy.
  • Relationship-Building: Connect with clients to discuss renewals, provide quotes, and explore new business opportunities.
  • Upsell & Cross-sell: Spot chances to recommend products that fit clients' needs.
  • Claims & Billing Assistance: Help clients through claims and billing questions to make their experience as smooth as possible.
  • Business Development: Prepare submissions and proposals for new and renewal business.
  • Industry Engagement: Stay updated on rates, forms, and coverage changes and represent Ives Insurance at industry events.
  • Teamwork & Support: Step in to assist coworkers during absences, vacation, and other times when coverage is needed.

What You Bring

  • Licenses & Certifications: RIBO license required; CAIB or equivalent designation preferred, or a willingness to pursue it.
  • Skills: Top-notch communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Efficiency: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using MS Word, Outlook, and BMS.
  • Professionalism: Positive demeanor and appearance, with a commitment to confidentiality and high standards of ethics.
