Job Description

QA Manager with BioMarker and Data Testing Expertise

100% Remote

6 month contract to hire


Must Haves:

Strong T-SQL / ETL Testing

Experience testing in large data warehouse environments

Ability to write good test cases/test plans


Responsibilities:

Manage the creation of synthetic and/or test data using tools to validate functionality on the UI when real test data is not yet available.

Analyze large-scale datasets and identify data quality issues.

Design, implement, and improve data quality standards.

Manage the preparation of test cases and test plans to ensure high data quality, requirements traceability matrix (RTM), and test execution reporting.

Build tooling and solutions using frameworks for data profiling capabilities and data quality dashboards to monitor the quality of key datasets.

Work within Agile and Kanban methodologies.

Partner with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams to identify and communicate issues/defects effectively.

Manage data across relational SQL and data warehouse databases.

Collect quality data and related KPIs to prepare and present test data reports and metrics to management.

Document and execute tests based on BRD/FRD, application experience, and expert understanding of the business.

Utilize test techniques such as negative tests, boundary tests, systematic or strategic approaches to combination testing, and some code inspection to isolate changes to be tested.

Perform expert risk analysis surrounding application builds, customer priorities, and defect analysis. Offer solutions to meet both business and quality desires.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

2+ years of experience managing a Quality Assurance Data Engineering team in the Healthcare/Pharm Industry. (BioMarker)

5+ years of experience in quality engineering with working experience in the Healthcare/Pharma Industry.

Proven ability to develop and execute Data and Analytics, SQL, and ETL testing.

Experience with healthcare data assets and models with strong experience writing SQL queries and debugging.

Able to write moderate to advanced JOIN statements and aggregate data.

Experience in testing large-scale enterprise data warehouses, ETL, data integration, data migration, and data quality verification exercises.

Experience with testing data pipelines, warehouses, data bricks, data lakes using SQL and NoSQL stores, and cloud technologies.

Competent understanding of system architectures, including database servers, application servers, relational databases, and the interaction between these systems.

3+ years of equivalent or related experience in writing and debugging complex SQL and NoSQL queries and statements.

Experience transforming data in various formats, including JSON, CSV, AVRO, PARQUET, XML, etc.

Experience in analyzing large-scale complex datasets and identifying data anomalies and data patterns.

3+ years of equivalent or related experience in data quality.

Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and their enabling tools.

Experience with building and updating macros.

Adherence to company, team, and department guidelines, processes, and methodologies.

Utilization of approved testing tools including but not limited to: Defect Tracking / Test Case Management tools; SQL Server Management Studio; Remote Desktop Connection.




Estimated Pay Low: $130000

Estimate Pay High: $145000
