Overview

One of our clients, a well-established leader in the heavy civil industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator . This role involves preparing accurate bids and estimates for a variety of projects, including heavy civil works and subdivision infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction practices, project scheduling, and cost analysis, along with the ability to meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Our client has built a reputation for excellence in construction services, operating primarily in Texas. They specialize in W/WW, lift and pump stations, dry utilities, and roadway projects. Their client base spans municipalities, counties, state agencies, private developers, and other prominent entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare competitive bids and detailed cost estimates for heavy civil and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and evaluate project scopes.
• Select and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors, while estimating self-perform crew productivity and costs.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships to support project success and business growth.
• Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between Estimating and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in heavy civil estimating, with expertise in earthwork, underground water and wastewater systems, drainage, and roadway construction.
• Proficiency in self-perform operations and a strong ability to manage detailed scopes of work.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret and analyze construction plans and specifications effectively.
• Experience with Agtek Earthwork and HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software is highly preferred.
• A collaborative mindset with the willingness to work as part of a cohesive team.
