The Engineering Technician will work with the Engineering team and use critical thinking skills to create solutions for customer needs. Their duties include developing shop travelers, internal drawings, and verifying the manufacturing processes are in compliance with the required industry standards and specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Determine the manufacturing methods and operations for new products.
· Optimize the current and new manufacturing process to increase efficiencies.
· Review and sign-off on the manufacturing process to ensure correctness and prevent errors.
· Provides computer-aided design (CAD) drafting and prepares drawings and schematics derived from various specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches for production purposes.
· Create manufacturing drawings from engineering drawings using SolidWorks CAD software.
· Collaborate and coordinate with other engineering groups to ensure complete understanding of project objective, integration process, and execution plan.
· Responsible for ensuring component inventory is available and ready for production.
· Maintain an understanding of product requirements and help with job process routing.
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Keep current on software tools and learn new software programs as applicable.
· Additional duties might be assigned.
Requirements:
· Proficient in SolidWorks required.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Good time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
· Attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
· Possess a strong understanding of drafting principles, mechanical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
· Analytical thinking skills: analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software; Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
· Experience with ERP systems preferred.
· Ability to interpret a customer’s objective and effectively translate it into a meaningful drawing.

Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree or Certification in CAD is preferred or equivalent technical and operational work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of drafting/designing experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience required.
Benefits: 10 days PTO/10 Holidays’
Pay: $30/hr
Schedule: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
