This position is a full-time remote Medical Quality Assurance Analyst position working for Loyal Source Government Services (LSGS) supporting prime contracts, programs, and subcontracts throughout the United States. The Analyst supports the corporation’s VA MDE program performing corporate level independent detailed reviews of recently completed Medical Disability Examinations (MDE) using the Disability Questionnaire (DBQ) to validate Loyal Healthcare quality performance. The evaluation may encompass over 80 different DBQs where medical providers have completed their examination and have documented the results in accordance with all written guidance and VA policies. The analyst performs detailed audits of clinics and remote locations to validate that all contractual requirements are being met. These examinations and audits are performed onsite and in offices across the United States on behalf of the LSGS MDE Program. Travel to clinic locations may be up to 50-75%.

Duties and Functions

The Medical Quality Assurance Analyst performs detailed reviews of completed DBQs to provide quality oversight of Loyal Source’s MDE program. They are responsible for assessing the output quality of hundreds of Providers located at over 100 clinics in the United States. There are over 80 different DBQs used to determine and assess the disability of Veterans. The focus of the Medical Quality Assurance Analyst’s review includes detailed step-by-step verification and validation of each entry and an assessment of the medical language and assessments made by the Provider. The results of the review determine a quality score with a goal of 96% overall. The program being set up provides Loyal Source with the ability to assess our performance at each of our clinics (over 120) prior to the VA performing their limited assessments at the region/VARO level. Loyal Source must, under contract and per the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) present acceptable quality reports and DBQs at all times. Data gathered is used by the Performance Improvement Center (PIC) to provide a dashboard of clinic level performance with additional supporting data to identify scores such as red, yellow, green. This data is readily available to all LSGS leadership.
