Job Description

Are you ready to join Connecticut Innovation’s vibrant community of innovators? Connecticut Innovations (“CI”) is Connecticut’s strategic venture capital arm, and we are passionate about serving our portfolio of 220+ companies across various industries, with strengths in life sciences, technology, and climate tech.

Come join Revalia (revaliabio.com) as a Scientist II! Revalia Bio is seeking to revolutionize biomedical innovation by honoring the gift of every organ donor.

Revalia Bio

Revalia Bio works closely with hospitals and organ procurement organizations to enable organ donation after patients pass away from incurable diseases like lung cancer that traditionally prevent donation for clinical transplantation. We then bring those organs back to life on organ perfusion technology to run transformative research studies aimed at accelerating the development of breakthrough biomedical innovations without putting patient’s lives at risk.

We are cultivating a brilliant and passionate team that must first and foremost strongly resonate with the 4 core values that are at the heart of everything we do at Revalia:

  • Adapt Relentlessly
  • Persevere with Uncommon Grit
  • Be a World-Class Collaborator

Scientist II | Position Overview

We are seeking a new team member in the role of Scientist II to expand our ability to honor every donor organ by transforming the future of medicine together. The Scientist II will independently perform a variety of wet laboratory procedures of technical nature as well as assist in developing and executing SOPs, protocols, and pipelines for generation of multi-dimensional data from primary human samples and organs. The position requires downstream processing of tissue and biofluids from research organs that are donated to Revalia and have undergone ex vivo perfusion. The position also includes the sample management, data analysis, data annotation and data communication. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a biochemistry or cell/molecular biology setting, will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions, and will be passionate for doing work to advance biomedical innovation.
