The ideal candidate will have strong courtroom experience, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to advocating for clients’ rights.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in all phases of criminal proceedings, including arraignments, pretrial hearings, plea negotiations, trials, and sentencing.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Advise clients on their legal rights and options, ensuring they understand the implications of each decision.
• Build strong defenses by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and working with investigators and experts as necessary.
• Negotiate with prosecutors to seek favorable resolutions for clients.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey.
• 2+ years of experience in criminal defense, with experience handling cases in both municipal and superior courts preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
