Mechanical Design Engineer

Description:

• Design of electro-mechanical systems used in the defense industry
• Proficiency utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings
• Experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements.

Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings (Solidworks preferred)
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
• Knowledge in GD&T
• Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects
• Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals
• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Requires ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
