Position Title: Completion Engineering Advisor
Position Summary:
Are you ready to lead groundbreaking deepwater well delivery in the Gulf of Mexico? As a Completion Engineering Advisor, you'll take charge of the completion design, engineering, and planning for state-of-the-art deepwater development wells, driving innovation and excellence at every phase of the well delivery process.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the well delivery process, ensuring completion design and planning align with the company's Well Delivery Excellence (WDX) framework.
- Collaborate with subsurface teams to create well requirements, driving seamless completion equipment selection, qualification, and testing.
- Lead the preparation of accurate time and cost estimates, maintaining operational efficiency and project goals.
- Develop the Basis of Design (BOD) to meet well objectives while ensuring design integrity and feasibility through collaboration with subject matter experts and service partners.
- Engage in a peer review process, fostering design maturation and incorporating valuable feedback.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout all WDX phases, maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance.
- Integrate best practices and lessons learned to continuously improve the well delivery process, ensuring optimal results.
- Present deliverables with confidence in stage reviews, providing clarity and assurance to stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide staff engineers, nurturing the next generation of completion experts.
- Actively engage in industry committees and engineering networks to stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies.
- Champion the use of cutting-edge technologies and innovations to enhance well delivery, reliability, and value.
- Provide strategic guidance during the completion phase to ensure full adherence to standards, regulations, and well programs.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in completion engineering with a proven record of successful well delivery.
- Deepwater Gulf of Mexico experience, including completion engineering design, planning, and operations.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills to deliver impactful presentations and documentation.
- Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for technical excellence.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to driving results.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Desirable Experience:
- Proficiency in probabilistic cost estimating and related software.
- Familiarity with BSEE regulatory APM submittal.
- Hands-on well-site operations experience.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies like lean manufacturing.
- Expertise in sand control, intelligent wells, gas lift, workover/interventions, and subsea vertical tree systems.
- Familiarity with Landmark Well Design and Planning software suite, including WellCat.
