Responsibilities -

• The Senior Civil Engineer must be a competent manager to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within the budget provided.
• They will have an obligation to actively participate in bringing work into the firm while actively directing complex projects and makes recommendations regarding personnel assignments.
• Identifying prospective clients and taking an active or lead role in the proposal process.
• Acting as project manager on major complex projects.
• Assigning duties to project team members.
• Estimating time and hour budgets for projects, and meeting those budgets.

Qualifications -

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 10 years’+ experience
• Registered professional engineer (P.E.)
• Valid driver's license
• General knowledge of other disciplines involved in multi-disciplined projects.
• Prepare construction plans, estimates, specifications and bid documents for roadway and highway projects for MDOT and local municipalities according to applicable agency standards
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D and Microstation nice to have
