Job Description

This senior role combines strategic leadership with operational oversight, ensuring seamless execution of client accounts, driving team performance, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the Miami operation. As a key decision-maker, the Group Account Director will help to shape the strategic direction of our advertising firm, support new business initiatives/pitches, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to set and execute the strategic vision for our office, aligning with regional and global goals.
  • Act as a key point of contact for client senior leadership
  • Support operational decision-making, including resource allocation, team structure, and prioritization of initiatives.


Client Management and Growth

  • Oversee the portfolio of client accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term relationship growth.
  • Provide strategic insights and leadership to clients, aligning their business objectives with innovative marketing solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client engagements and secure new business in partnership with the Managing Director.


Operational Oversight

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring seamless collaboration across different disciplines.
  • Monitor the execution of key projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Optimize processes to enhance efficiency and maintain the highest quality standards.


Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire account teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Drive professional development initiatives, ensuring team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge to execute their roles.
  • Actively contribute to recruitment and talent retention strategies.


Financial Management

  • Contribute to the financial health of the Miami office by monitoring account budgets, forecasting revenue, and managing profitability.
  • Partner with the Managing Director to ensure financial targets are met, identifying areas for optimization and growth.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 15+ years in account management, marketing, or advertising, with a proven track record of leading regional client accounts and managing teams (remote and in-person) in a fast-paced, agency environment required. Experience in LATAM markets or multicultural marketing is highly preferred. Experience in the media business its required (on and off) Experience in Miami local business would be a great add-on.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, manage complex projects, and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Strategic Expertise: Strong skills in client strategy, business development, and operational management.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and driving profitability.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Languages: Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
