Description 

The Safety Manager will lead our safety initiatives and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs that promote a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and administer safety training.
• Perform safety evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Utilize/create a system to track safety performance metrics.
• Document policies and procedures to reduce/eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, and financial losses.
• Perform safety evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare corresponding reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely records.
• Communicate safety and compliance issues with the leadership team and provide solutions.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 Certified
• At least 5 years of safety experience in the general and construction industry
• Thorough knowledge of health and safety (EHS) laws and guidelines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Excellent leadership and motivation skills
• Must be able to provide detailed reports and develop safety processes and procedures
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
