Akkodis is seeking an Sr. DevOps Engineer for one of our clients in Simsbury, CT.

Rate Range: $120,000/year to $140,000/year; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

This is a direct hire role in an exciting, advanced environment!

What you will do:

• Develop and implement cloud-based solutions to enhance internal tools and drive key company initiatives.
• Deploy and manage microservice-based architectures to monitor, optimize, and scale our global fleet of fuel dispensers and Automated Tank Gauges (ATGs).
• Administer and maintain Linux servers and services, ensuring robust, secure, and efficient operations.
• Design and develop innovative software solutions tailored to our ATG and Fuel Dispenser platforms, driving both functionality and efficiency.
• Lead and take ownership of DevOps tools, standards, and processes, fostering best practices and driving automation across the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong foundation in cloud environments, automation, and infrastructure management.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a DevOps team, with a track record of driving initiatives from conception to deployment.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Expertise in Linux administration (experience with Yocto is a plus).
• Proficiency in software development using Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Extensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience deploying and managing infrastructure in the cloud.
• Experience in setting up and optimizing DevOps environments (experience with embedded IoT devices is a plus).
