Job Summary: The Commercial Finance Manager will provide financial leadership for the company’s North American operations. This role focuses on pricing strategies, financial planning, and strategic decision-making to achieve the business's financial goals. Responsibilities include developing key metrics, supporting long-term planning, and delivering actionable insights to drive profitability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Analysis & Pricing
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive profitable growth.
- Develop and maintain pricing benchmarks for current and pipeline products.
- Evaluate investment proposals for medical devices and recommend growth strategies.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain to align financial goals.
Business Partnering
- Analyze pricing strategies and profitability across products and regions.
- Assess financial implications of promotions, rebates, and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to optimize pricing, product mix, and sales channels.
Strategic Planning & Decision Support
- Build financial models and evaluate mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
- Support due diligence, contract review, and post-deal integration for acquisitions.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Analyze KPIs and provide senior management with strategic financial guidance.
- Conduct scenario analysis to assess business risks and opportunities.
Performance Management
- Develop metrics to track business performance and recommend process improvements.
- Evaluate sales incentive plans and recommend adjustments.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Monitor financial benchmarks and ensure accurate reporting to stakeholders.
- Support external audits and regulatory compliance, including sales incentive calculations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA/CMA preferred).
- 8–12 years of experience in financial analysis and business partnering, preferably in pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing structures, GTN accounting, and industry-specific dynamics.
- Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and SAP (FICO and SD modules) proficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey financial concepts effectively.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
