Clayton Services is searching for an Embedded Electrical Engineer to join a thriving company in Northwest Houston. The Embedded Electrical Engineer will support sustaining activities and engineering projects and perform various engineering activities, including debugging, designing, and testing company-produced products.

Pay Rate: $90,000-$105,000/year

Embedded Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for products in current production.
- Design and test electrical assemblies using ECAD tools and lab test equipment.
- Modify, revise, and prototype existing analog and embedded designs.
- Create or modify firmware in existing embedded designs.
- Research electrical components and availability.
- Creation of documentation associated with testing, debugging, and root cause analysis of faulty assemblies.
- Communicate with customers, third-party project representatives, and other company departments to meet assigned project requirements and schedules.
- Provide data collection, input, and management for engineering studies, projects, and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical analysis, troubleshooting, and solutions under the direction of an engineer or supervisor.
- Assist with in-house manufacturing, customer service training, and project coordination.
- Other duties as assigned.
Embedded Electrical Engineer Skills and Abilities:
- Hardware design: Selection and design with microprocessors, microcontrollers, DSPs, and other digital circuit devices. Schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout, and experience with low/micropower design are a plus.
- Analog design: Strong analog hardware knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Experience designing analog filters and signal conditioning circuits is a plus.
- Microprocessors: Usage or technical knowledge of ARM, TI, MicroChip, or Atmel.
- Embedded systems knowledge: Basic HW/SW integration testing, hardware performance tuning, embedded debugger tools. Working knowledge of C/C++ is desirable.
- Tools: Experience with the following design tools is a plus: Altium, Eagle, ORCAD, LTPICE, TINA, Eclipse, IAR, Kiel, and Code Composer.
- Technology: Understanding of Piezoelectric sensor technology.
- Have analytical skills to recognize patterns in data
- Programming skills in C or C derivative languages.
- Ability to use standard electrical test equipment such as Oscilloscopes and Multimeters.
- Ability to efficiently use all Microsoft Office products.
- Embedded systems experience is highly desirable.
Embedded Electrical Engineer Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Five years of relevant electrical engineering experience
