Position Overview

The Sales Manager – Midwest will play a pivotal role in driving growth by managing and expanding business within the Eastern region of the United States. This remote-based role focuses on promoting and selling branded ingredients, premixes, and other solutions to clients in the food and beverage industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage active accounts and cultivate new leads/prospects within the Midwest territory.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including R&D, purchasing teams, and senior management.
  • Promote, sell, and secure orders through a consultative, needs-based sales approach.
  • Develop and deliver effective proposals, quotations, and business presentations.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to tailor sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, logistics, quality) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in trade shows, conventions, and client meetings (travel up to 30%).
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records in CRM/ERP systems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-5+ years of experience selling active raw materials in the food and beverage industry.
  • Proven B2B sales experience, including account management and client acquisition.
  • Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to adapt to diverse cultural environments.
