Lucy J's Bakery is a small non profit bakery that intentionally hires and trains residents from the Dorothy Day House of Memphis. We produce various breads croissants, and treats in our Crosstown Concourse location.
We are looking for a knowledgeable baker that can help spearhead our production. We currently wholesale to 7 accounts and are looking to grow that number. This position would be responsible for leading a bulk of our daily production.
Our daily production includes:
- Breads for wholesale and retail.
- Croissants, Croissant Pockets, Cookies, Brownies, Pies, Cheese Cakes, Tarts, Eclairs, Etc.
We are looking for an individual whom:
- Has bread baking experience. We will train the next chosen candidate with current recipes but experience with mixing, forming, and baking are a must.
- Is able to work over night. Start times are negotiable but we are looking for a team member who is able to start around midnight and work into the early morning.
- is able to work solo and in a team. We are a small organization so working well in the team is a must.
