Job Description:
The Maintenance Manager is a key member of the site leadership team and has responsibility for overall site and facilities maintenance and reliability.
Responsibilities Include:
- Proficient and leads by example in all aspects of workplace safety – a Safety Champion.
- Ensures all team members are trained and proficient in all plant safety rules, processes, and procedures.
- Excellent understanding and high level of proficiency with mechanical and electrical maintenance systems within a manufacturing facility (Hydraulics, electrical components, valves, gear systems, etc.).
- Strong acumen of, and implementation of a preventative maintenance program.
- Ability to implement a predictive maintenance program utilizing vibration, thermography, ultrasound, and other reliability best practices to maintain machine center operability requirements.
- Understanding and experience with managing facility R&M budget, stores, and spare parts inventory, and leveraging team member and reliability practices to manage cost budget.
- Ability to create short and long-term plans for machine and asset care, to improve business and productivity performance.
- Collaborate closely with site leadership team and all facility team members, as required to optimize facility performance via basic care route PMs, maintenance PMs, reliability routes, and 1:1 communication.
- Oversee all maintenance department team members, competency, and team member progression.
- Versed in work order scheduling, downtime and uptime maintenance practices, and maintenance planning.
- Competency with maintenance team member training programs, implementation, and oversight.
- Experience with rolling stock assets and maintenance.
- Capital and project management oversight, including spend control, deliverables, and safety management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent post-secondary education in engineering, business, or similar curriculum.
- High degree of self-motivation and results-oriented.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Teams, etc) Proficient.
- Maintenance and Reliability Planning Program Experience, via Microsoft Supported channels.
- 10 or more years in facility maintenance, reliability, or production management roles, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Aptitude around hydraulics, welding, electrical components, mechanical components, pump/valve operation, as well as other industrial maintenance practices.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certifications within a reliability or trades-associated body.
