Business Analyst - Foreign Exchange

6 - 18 months contract with Benefits and PTO

Location: 3 days hybrid onsite in Chicago

Project Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our Product Development group for foreign exchange (FX) trading. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in building out a target operating model for front-office trading platforms, including Execution Management Systems (EMS), Order Management Systems (OMN) and Portfolio Management Systems (PMS). This role requires a deep understanding of front office trading systems, FX markets and technical acumen to effectively bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions.

Qualifications:

> Minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst in the capital markets sector, with a focus on front office trading systems and FX trading.

> Strong knowledge of EMS, OMS and PMS platforms and their role in trading operations

> Demonstrated experience in developing target operating models and implementing process improvements

> Technically savvy with the ability to understand system architectures, data flows and integration points

> SQL Skills and the ability to build queries

Day to day:

4 different agile teams working on upgrading systems, etc. You will be sitting on the FX trading floor with traders and understanding why and what we are doing. You will need to understand the business reasoning for requested changes and then write stories so developers can pick this up. Need to create backlogs for developers. Need to bridge the gap between traders and developers.

Key Responsibilities:

> Target Operating Model Development

• - Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document the target operating model for front office trading
• - Analyze current state processes, systems, and workflows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
• - Develop and implement best practices for EMS, OMS and PMS integration & usage

> Business Analysis

• - Gather and document detailed business requirements from front office trading teams and other relevant stakeholders.
• - Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology teams
• - Conduct impact analysis and feasibility studies for proposed changes and enhancements

> System Implementation & Support

• - Support the implementation of new trading platforms and system upgrades
• - Participate in system testing, including developing test cases, performing user acceptance testing and coordinating with users for feedback

- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for front office trading systems

> Stakeholder Management

• - Serve as a liaison between front office trading teams, IT, vendors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication & collaboration
• - Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to review project progress, address issues and gather feedback
