Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 Weeks with possible ext.
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced High-Risk Obstetrical Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This role requires expertise in performing ultrasound procedures for high-risk obstetrical patients. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in high-risk obstetrical ultrasound, as well as the necessary certifications to perform diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality obstetrical ultrasound examinations for high-risk pregnancies, ensuring accurate imaging and clear documentation.
- Use advanced ultrasound equipment to assess fetal development, detect abnormalities, and provide critical information to the medical team.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, perinatologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound findings and contribute to the care plan.
- Maintain accurate records of ultrasound images and findings in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Stay current with advances in ultrasound technology and best practices for high-risk obstetrics.
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in high-risk obstetrical ultrasound.
- RDMS-OB certification (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Obstetrics) through ARDMS is required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred.
Education & Certifications:
- Required: Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- BLS certification preferred.
