Our client specializes in diesel and alternative fuel engines and generators, and related components and technology. They are looking for a Electro-Mechanical Drafter who can join them at Fridley, MN .
The ideal candidate should have:
- Prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information.
- Typically has a high school diploma or GED.
- Possesses technical skills, including the knowledge of design techniques and blueprint reading.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 8-10 years’ experience required

- Exercises independent judgment with little to no direction from supervisor

- Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (Typically required)
- Strong knowledge of relevant computer application, such as CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting; Typically required)
Responsibilities:
- Must have minimum 5-8yrs CREO 7 (or higher) Schematic/Cabling experience.
- Windchill experience is also required.
- Review and approve detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment
- Instruct staff to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems
- Review and approve mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment.
- Review and approve dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materials.
- Approve schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines
- Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
- Act as subject matter expert to clients and review schematics and answer questions pertaining to installation of systems.
