JOB DESCRIPTION (Cathode Team)
A top employer in the E-Vehicle industry is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to support our onsite Cell Engineering team in the development and production of cutting-edge battery cells, specifically focusing on the Cathode team. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in our Cell Engineering team, primarily operating machinery and handling materials. Your responsibilities will include mixing materials for 3 to 4 hours daily, characterizing those materials, running tests on powders, and evaluating them using calendaring tools. You will work closely with a dedicated team to manage powder input and facilitate the operation of both large pilot and desk-sized calendaring tools, ensuring efficient production processes. Your day-to-day activities will encompass performing routine tool setup, machine cleaning, and assembly, along with taking detailed notes on processes and updating electronic logs. You will collaborate with the Lead Technician to ensure all machinery is functioning optimally, assisting in diagnosing equipment issues and supporting preventive maintenance. Additionally, you will work in a controlled dry room environment, adhering to strict safety protocols while managing the handling of dusty powders.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 1+ years' experience Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly with mechanical equipment and machine operation
• Computer savviness and experience using Excel to update documents
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Comfort working in dry room environment with dusty powders
• Must be flexible to work some overtime

As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in our Cell Engineering team, primarily managing the electrode processing and conducting analytical testing. Your responsibilities will include training team members in analytical electrode testing, operating large calendaring tools, and performing delicate tasks with analytical equipment such as SEM and TGA. You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the electrode processing is efficient and precise, handling fragile components with care. Your day-to-day activities will encompass following detailed SOPs while understanding deviations, conducting analytical tests, and taking meticulous notes on processes. You will collaborate with the Lead Technician to ensure all equipment is functioning optimally, assisting in diagnosing equipment issues and supporting preventive maintenance. Additionally, you will work in a controlled dry room environment, adhering to strict safety protocols while managing the handling of dusty powders.
