Job Description

Frissora & Associates is a health care consulting firm in Wexford, PA. The Financial Analyst role will support the new sales and renewal underwriting process for employer group health and welfare plans. In this role, you will work to analyze and interpret incoming health care data to support recommendations for a wide range of clientele. This role will use proprietary analytical tools and require the ability to independently analyze and interpret healthcare data. This role includes producing client specific reporting, responding to ad hoc reporting requests, and focusing on the execution of company specific goals and objectives. This position offers the opportunity to explore health plan pricing development, claim trend analysis, claim experience studies, and health care analytics.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quantitative projects including but not limited to generating monthly financial reporting and claim projections for fully insured and self-funded clients
  • Utilize industry formulas to create basic and/or complex models to analyze and illustrate health care utilization and financial outcomes
  • Guide and prepare spreadsheets, graphs, charts, diagrams, and other illustrative tools used in presentations in collaboration with financial team
  • Prepare and interact with clients through virtual and onsite meetings, written correspondence, and reports as needed
  • Monitor client accounts on a monthly basis for claim trends, high dollar claimants and other emerging claim issues in collaboration with financial team
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance with all client information obtained during the course of work
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics, math, data analytics, or actuarial science
  • Ability to effectively establish rapport, present financial data, and respond to questions from clients, carriers, managers, and coworkers
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft products
  • Previous experience with health care benefits or rating analysis preferred
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage changing priorities as needed
  • Ability to work in fast-paced team environment. Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
