The Engineer I is responsible for providing patch related support to Windows and Linux servers. The position requires deep analytical thinking based on research results to assess software patches/upgrades and configuration changes to be applied to varied infrastructure.
The Engineer I will provide assessments covering security, system, and business impact. The candidate must have a solid understanding of the security implications of a patch, though they are not required to be a security SME. They must analyze and anticipate the side effects of the patch. Finally, the role involves quantifying the risks and opportunities (for improved security) that the patch introduces in terms of business impact.
Additionally, the role is responsible for supporting and expanding existing reporting platform, data analysis, and automated reporting from on-prem and cloud systems utilizing related queries, scripts, and APIs.
The base salary range for this role is $93,200 - $153,050. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
