  • Outpatient Clinical Setting
  • It is primarily at an outpatient clinic with every other Saturday requirement at the hospital.
  • Experience with Carotids and DVT's required.
  • On Call required- Saturday/Sunday every 6 weeks and 4-5 days of call a month (this includes that weekend).
  • Essential Functions
  • Possesses current knowledge of imaging technology in order to provide quality patient care services.
  • Selects appropriate equipment and supplies needed to perform each procedure in order to provide continuity of care.
  • Positions the patient according to established protocol in order to provide optimum diagnostic information.
  • Performs quality control on all completed studies prior to radiologist interpretation in order to assure optimum information and verifies all studies in PACS.
  • Insures equipment viability through performing established warm up procedure and equipment quality control.
  • Calibrates equipment and performs required quality control procedures on a daily basis in order to assure equipment viability.
  • Communicates procedural instructions to all patients prior to examination in order to assure patient comprehension.
  • Reviews the daily patient schedule in order to maximize efficiency and minimize patient waiting time.
  • Practices proper infection control
    Job Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA approved radiologic technology program.
  • Certified Medical Sonographer.
    Schedule Information
  • Week A: Harleysville Outpatient Clinic - M-F 7:30-4p
  • Week B: Harleysville Outpatient Clinic- M, T, Th, F 7:30-4P, GVH Hospital - Sat 7:30-4p
