The position requires a Board Certified physician specializing in Physiatry, Neurology, or Neurosurgery to conduct comprehensive medical evaluations on a per diem basis. Responsibilities include performing interview-based exams and physical assessments, focusing primarily on General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury. This role offers flexible scheduling with competitive compensation and requires proficiency in various medical evaluation techniques.
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Clarksville, TN - per diem available - Must be within 50 miles
PRN as needed.
1099 compensation: -$750 for half day (4 hours)
-$1600 for full day (8 hours)
-$650 for completing all required training and starting assignment
Details:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Quick credentialing & onboarding
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
