Position: Engineering - Sr Field Engineering Specialist
Location: Cedar Rapid, IA/ Madison, WI – Local Candidates needed for onsite role
Duration: 10 Months Contract

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to travel.
Travel can include occasional overnight stays.
For positions located within company territory that supply natural gas to customers, this job is covered by the Department of Transportation regulations on drug and alcohol testing (CFR 49, Parts 40 and 199), and is subject to drug testing according to said regulations.
Primary residence must be within a reasonable distance of designated headquarters and within 40 minutes of an operating center in the zone(s) for which employee is responsible. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Solid working knowledge of applicable math and physics concepts and ability to apply to the workplace.
Demonstrated solid working knowledge of construction practices.
Demonstrated solid working knowledge of design and work packaging standards, federal/state regulations.
Demonstrated solid working knowledge of gas and electric codes, OSHA rules, DOT requirements.
Demonstrated solid working knowledge of utility construction equipment, project management, and material procurement processes.
Demonstrated mechanical and survey and drafting skills.
Ability to draw accurate and legible engineering-related maps.
Advanced surveying and right-of-way knowledge.
Good financial analysis knowledge.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management); experience with STORMS and ArcFM software preferred.
Must be switch qualified in electrical operations switching, gas operations, and gas emergency procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
