We're looking for a passionate and visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead the development of our AI-powered HR tech products and shape the future of workforce talent acquisition and talent development. This is a unique opportunity to join our team and own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of a product that is poised to transform the industry.


This is a remote role based in the United States. 

Ideal candidates are based in the Greater Boston Area. 

Occasional travel is anticipated.  


In this role, you will:


  • Develop and implement the technology vision and strategy in alignment with our business goals and customer needs.
  • Lead the Engineering team to deliver scalable, reliable, and innovative technical solutions that power our AI-driven HR tech products.
  • Partner with the CPO and Product Management team to translate product strategy into technical architecture and implementation plans.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development of our technology solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security.
  • Architect, build, and launch cutting-edge AI solutions that solve real-world problems in the workforce talent development industry. Oversee DevOps and MLOps processes to ensure efficient deployment, monitoring and scalability of AI systems, while ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, AI R&D and Data Science, to ensure alignment and drive successful product development.
  • Manage and optimize the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Drive technical innovation and adoption of best practices in software engineering, including AI.
  • Manage technology budgets and resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Ensure the quality and security of our software products through comprehensive testing and adherence to industry standards.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends, and identify opportunities to incorporate innovative solutions that enhance our competitive edge.
  • Communicate technical vision and progress effectively to stakeholders at all levels.


You are:


  • A seasoned engineering leader with a proven track record of success in building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering leadership, with expertise in AI-driven or complex data-rich products.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, architectural patterns, and cloud technologies.
  • Direct experience in building AI-driven software applications from the ground up, particularly in the areas of talent development, learning, and assessment (consumer and SaaS enterprise). 
  • Strong background in AI productization, particularly in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technical innovation.
  • Strong technical skills in areas such as cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing.
  • Strategic thinking and an ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing outsourced resources and demonstrating a flexible approach to resource management to meet changing business needs.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Compensation: $200,000 - $280,000. Negotiable based on education, experience, and credentials.
