Job Title: Paint PE Simultaneous Engineer
Location : Georgetown, KY, (Onsite)
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Travel Locations: Domestic travel to Texas, Indiana, and Mississippi; potential travel to Canada and Mexico as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the Paint PE Simultaneous Engineering efforts for new model introduction planning and development.
- Identify new vehicle change points and analyze their impact on current processes and production.
- Ensure that new models meet safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards in the Paint department.
- Communicate effectively with Designers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on process requirements.
- Support the Production team by utilizing digital engineering, CAE, 3D modeling, and Rapid Prototyping during the design phase development.
- Collaborate with the SE team to provide vehicle specifications and process impacts to Planning, Materials, and Equipment teams.
- Engage in day-to-day interactions with Paint SE members, Japan counterparts, and Pilot Production members to share knowledge and best practices.
- Assist in the development and updating of Paint SE standard check sheets, benchmarks, and feedback mechanisms to enhance quality, safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain overall project schedule planning and ensure timely execution of project milestones.
- Develop planning standards to streamline processes and improve project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling software, including AutoCAD and Catia.
- Experience in overall project schedule planning and project management.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, with approximately 12% travel based on project location.
- Must possess valid documentation for international travel.
- Steel toe boots are required for this position.
