The Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing processes, maintaining the high standards required by our AS9100 certification. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize production processes, ensuring that all products meet our rigorous quality standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process Design and Optimization: Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure the highest quality standards.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all production processes comply with AS9100 standards and other regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Production Planning: Collaborate with the production team to create detailed production plans that align with project timelines and customer requirements.

• Technical Support: Provide technical support to the production team, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.

• Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve overall production efficiency.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of production processes, changes, and improvements in accordance with AS9100 requirements.

• Training: Train and mentor production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.

• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes into production.

• Additional duties may be assigned if required.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control techniques. Proficiency in CAD software and ERP systems.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical team members.

• Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.

• 3+ years of experience in a production engineering role within the aerospace industry or related field.

o Experience with AS9100 certification is highly desirable.
