    Job Details
  • General Information: Level II Trauma Center/Rural South Dakota
  • Types of Patients: Heavy trauma population – Falls, MVAs, GSW, Stabbings, etc
  • Will scan throughout various areas - Inpatient/ED/Outpatient, will do higher level scans such as Angiograms, etc.
  • Scans per Day: ED – 60-70 per 24 hrs, Inpatient - Varies, Outpatient – Approx. 50/day
  • Equipment Types: Siemens only – 4 Scanners within the department
    Job Requirements
  • Required Certifications: BLS
  • ARRT-CT
  • Education Requirements: Must graduate from a Radiology Program that will allow them to sit for (ARRT)(R) (CT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification with advanced certification in Cat Scan
  • No State licensure is required
    Schedule Information
  • Varied schedule: Discussed during interview with Leadership
  • Primarily work night shifts
  • Weekend rotation: weekend rotation, discussed during interview
  • No call required
  • Overtime optional
  • Holiday Expectations: holiday rotation required
  • Approval of time off? Manager conducts interviews
    Unit Specific Information
  • Support within the Department: There is always another CT Tech on with you 24/7
  • Always staffed with another CT Tech
  • Orientation: 2 weeks
